Guilin is famous for its artistic pottery, bamboo, new and old-style wood carvings, etc. The main
shopping area is along Zhongshan Zhong Road where you can find the best
department store.
Both the Tourist Night Market and the Yangshuo Riverside Market are good
places to browse through. Once seeing an item you like, definitely
use what you learned from negotiation classes and start haggling. The

There are several theaters along Jiefang Xi Lu and the surrounding

hour-long performances are sold at the doors. There are also
Western-oriented operatic and acrobatci shows at the Lijian Theater on
riverfront Binjiang Lu, near the Sheraton.
Disco & Bars
There are many disco places in Guilin. For instance, the Dadu Hui
disco and the Gogo disco which are located around the Yiren Lu district are very
famous among expat teachers and trendy Chinese. On the other hand, those
who prefer a bit more tranquil atmosphere while sipping their drinks may be
directed towards the growing number of bars in the same district. One of
the very famous bars here is the Ragazza Pub which caters to upmarket bar
goers. Men Bin is also a place to visit if you love singing karaoke.
